Newly added to iStockPhoto are some images of my Praline cookies on a pink napkin. I previously had several shots of these cookies on a baking sheet, but realized I didn’t have any of the finished product. I’m hoping to put together a calendar or small book of my favorite cookie recipes by next Christmas, so I definitely needed some of the baked ones, covered in powdered sugar. The image below is my favorite – it’s almost close enough to sink your teeth into it! The recipe follows:
Praline Cookies:
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 cups of Pecans, grated
- Confectionary sugar for dusting
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Soften butter and mix in sugars and vanilla. Add in eggs and flour and mix well. Finally add pecans and mix thoroughly. Use a small scoop to make 1 tablespoon size balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 11-12 minutes. Dust with confectionary sugar when cool.
Enjoy!
